Gamer Dystrophy+
Gamer Dystrophy+ was initially established with the intention of providing a platform for my son, who has Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy, to connect with other children who share physical or mental challenges, or as we often refer to them, those who are “differently wired.” Our primary objective was to foster a sense of belonging and understanding within our community.
However, the platform has expanded beyond its initial purpose. Gamer Dystrophy+ now aims to create an inclusive and competitive gaming environment for children with Muscular Dystrophy+ to engage in video games and build meaningful friendships. While we acknowledge the importance of winning, we emphasize the joy of playing video games and the added benefit of gaming with fellow members of the Gamer Dystrophy+ community.
In the future, we anticipate hosting competitions with prizes for our competitive Gamer Dystrophy+ friends who demonstrate exceptional skill and dedication. These competitions will provide an opportunity for friendly competition and showcase the talents of our community.
